The Fund's investment team take into account various Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance and ethical issues throughout their research, analysis, selection and monitoring of investments. It also applies positive and negative screens to the Fund's investment universe.

Federation applies a negative screening approach, avoiding investments in certain activities including fossil fuel-based electricity generation, nuclear power, ports, airports, toll roads, gas pipelines, alcohol, tobacco, gaming, armaments, militarism, live animal exports, and non-sustainable forestry. Exceptions exist where investments contribute to renewable energy adoption or emission reduction. A materiality threshold of 20% revenue generation from negative screen activities is applied, allowing some flexibility in investment decisions.

Additionally, the manager considers property investments with significant environmental components and businesses involved in embedded networks and micro-grid infrastructure leveraging renewable energy. It may also explore other sectors deemed to have a positive societal impact, adhering to the commitment to responsible investing.
