Manager Overview
Launched in 2009, MA Financial Group is an ASX-listed financial services firm specialising in asset management, lending, corporate advisory and equities. MA Financial Group's Asset Management division is responsible for managing assets for institutional, wholesale, and retail investors. The division oversees a diverse range of investment opportunities, including real estate, credit, hospitality, private equity, and venture capital. Additionally, the team manages traditional asset classes such as cash, bonds, and listed equities.
Manager's responsible investing approach
We recognise integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into our investment decision-making and ownership processes is fundamental to assessing the true value of our investments. We believe ESG considerations can provide a greater understanding of the investment risks and opportunities that contribute to evaluating long-term value for our clients.
Our investment teams assess ESG risks and opportunities according to their own investment process, taking a materiality-based approach. A material ESG risk is one which can have a significant impact on the valuation or reputation of a company or investment, if not well managed.
MA Sustainable Future Fund
Strategy Summary
The Fund invests in a diversified portfolio of secured loans to established growth-stage companies (Growth Credit) which support a more sustainable future planet and society.
In addition to fixed returns through interest-bearing loans, the Fund will seek equity-like upside participation through additional warrants and/or other conversion rights.
Ten per cent of Performance Fees earned by MA Financial will be donated via the MA Foundation to further support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), specifically those targeting the alleviation of global poverty and hunger.
The Fund is underpinned by a 5% co-investment by MA Financial and its staff up to $5 million, aligning interests with investors.
