Manager Overview

Microequities Asset Management Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of Microequities Pty Ltd ("Microequities") holder of Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) number 287526. Microequities was established in 2005 to exclusively research Microcap companies and has become a highly specialised equity research firm within the Microcap asset class. This research legacy is a key attribute of the Fund, with specialised in-house research capabilities. Microequities' experience, method, process and knowledge of Australian Microcaps place it in a unique position to invest in these companies. Other fund managers might manage a Microcap fund as part of a wide array of managed investment products. However for Microequities this is a core product. The Manager's competency is in this asset class, and thier experience lies within the Microcap space. Microequities Asset Management will use predominately in-house research from its investment research team. Many investment managers have limited resources dedicated to the research of Microcaps, and have to either outsource this function or purchase reports on a needs basis. Microequities' research capabilities and expertise have been developed specifically for analysing the Microcap asset class. They include various valuation models that are applied depending on the type of business and in many cases can be a combination of several models.

Manager's responsible investing approach

Microequities Asset Management is an active equity funds manager that employs a value-oriented approach to selecting stocks and constructing portfolios. The manager believes that ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) considerations can have a meaningful impact on business and equity performance. Integrating ESG factors into its investment processes aids it in understanding the long-term risks and opportunities for its investee companies, as well as their management teams, business strategies, and company cultures. Microequities also believes that this aligns it with its client objectives of delivering superior long term returns while managing risk appropriately. By improving its understanding of how companies manage ESG issues, Microequities aims to deliver long-term sustainable, superior returns for clients.
