Responsible Investing Approach
When the Fund Manager assesses ESG factors, it focuses on ESG risk assessment and review, exclusions, company engagement and shareholder voting. Skerryvore excludes from the Fund's investment universe companies involved in activities deemed by the Fund Manager as harmful to society or the environment.
Skerryvore does not have a predetermined view about how far ESG factors will be taken into account in this Fund, and there is no specific ESG methodology adopted for this Fund. However, Skerryvore takes into account ESG factors (including any risks or concerns) that it may become aware of, but only to the extent that they financially affect the investment. Once it becomes aware of these ESG factors, Skerryvore assesses how those ESG factors impact investment returns as part of the investment process for this Fund. Accordingly, in these circumstances, Skerryvore believes that ESG factors are important in determining the quality of a company for potential investment.
